Who Can Apply for SASSA Grants?
General Requirements (All Grants):
- You must be a South African citizen
- Or you are a permanent resident
- Or you are a refugee registered with Home Affairs
- Or you have a special permit (Angolan, Lesotho, Zimbabwe)
- You must live in South Africa
- You must have a valid South African ID or permit
Specific Requirements for R370 SRD Grant:
- You must be between 18 and 60 years old
- You must be unemployed
- Your monthly income must be R624 or less
- You don’t get any other SASSA grant
- You don’t get UIF payments
- You don’t get NSFAS funding
- You don’t get money from government or employers
You Cannot Apply If:
- You are already getting another social grant

- Click “Send SMS” to get an OTP
- Enter the OTP code from your phone
