Three products people confuse
- Mobile airtime: prepaid value for calls, SMS or bundles on a network account.
- Airtime transfer / share: sending airtime to another eligible customer on the same network (Me2U-style services on operator pages).
- Betting or retail voucher: a separate prepaid PIN (OTT, 1ForYou, and similar brands) that a betting site lists under Deposit or Top Up.
A same-network airtime transfer can move airtime to another person. It is not proof that the recipient can turn that airtime into a Betway or Hollywoodbets deposit, or that the betting site accepts airtime as a funding method.
What Betway’s deposit help shows
Betway’s published OTT steps: buy an OTT voucher at listed retail outlets, open Deposit Funds in your Betway account, choose OTT Vouchers, and redeem the PIN. What Hollywoodbets shows
On the official Hollywoodbets site or app, Top Up lists voucher providers when you are logged in (commonly including Holly Top Up and other retail voucher brands shown on the live screen). Mobile-money options such as MTN MoMo, when listed on a deposit page, are also separate from ordinary prepaid airtime. Do not describe a MoMo deposit as an “airtime deposit” unless the provider’s own page says so.
Before you trust a third-party “airtime for voucher” offer
An independent seller may claim to swap airtime for a betting voucher. Treat that as a separate commercial service, not a network feature. Ask who operates it, what you receive after fees, what data they want, and whether any link to the network or voucher brand appears on an official domain. Stop if they ask for your banking password, OTP, SIM-swap or account-recovery code, full login access, or an advance “unlock” fee.
If you already have unwanted airtime
Use current network options for calls, data, bundles, or an official same-network airtime transfer. If you recharged the wrong number, keep the proof and contact the network or seller through an official channel. Do not assume a refund or cash conversion exists.
