Cancel on the website
- Sign in at dstv.com (South Africa)
- Open My Products
- Select the package you want to stop
- Look for the Disconnect icon and schedule the disconnection
- Confirm and save any on-screen reference
DStv’s FAQ says the disconnection takes effect on your next payment date. You can reconnect later on the same digital channels.
Cancel in the MyDStv app
Sign in to the MyDStv app, open the product or package you want to manage, and follow the same Disconnect / schedule flow DStv documents for the website.
Cancel on WhatsApp
Message the official DStv South Africa WhatsApp number 060 060 3788. Use the menu prompts to manage your package or ask to disconnect. Prefer the number published on dstv.com over forwarded contacts.
Recurring payments vs full disconnect
Stopping a debit order or recurring payment is not always the same as disconnecting the package. If you only cancel the payment method, you may still owe for the subscription until you disconnect (or pay another way). Follow DStv’s Disconnect steps if you want the service to end on the next payment date.
If self-service fails
Use DStv’s published contact options on the Help pages (call centre / service centre) and ask for a cancellation or disconnection reference in writing or SMS.
