How to Check Capfin Loan Statement

In short: Capfin does not publish a separate “download my monthly statement” walkthrough. To see what you owe, it points you to your online profile, USSD *134*6454#, or 087 354 0000 for a settlement quote.

This page is about checking a Capfin loan account in South Africa. It is not a copy of your contract and it does not calculate a payoff figure.

Official ways to see your account

Capfin’s FAQ and contact pages give these customer channels:

  • Log into your profile on www.capfin.co.za with your South African ID. Capfin then sends a one-time PIN to the cellphone number you registered.
  • USSD *134*6454#, which the FAQ also uses for a settlement quote and for an alternative payment arrangement.
  • Call 087 354 0000, weekdays 08:00 to 18:00 on the contact page, and ask for a settlement quote.
  • WhatsApp 066 000 0683, the number on Capfin’s contact page.

The FAQ says a settlement quote includes the unpaid loan balance plus unpaid interest, fees and Capfin Life insurance where those apply up to the settlement date. It also says a quote is never valid for more than 21 days, and that it stays valid only until the date you selected if that date is sooner.

If you need documents

Capfin’s FAQ says you can upload documents on the website, scan them in a PEP or Ackermans store, email them to docs@capfinmail.co.za with your ID number in the subject line after you have applied, or fax them to 086 688 0000. That is for application documents, not a promise that the same inbox will email a historic statement.

Loan documents in Afrikaans, Sesotho, isiZulu or isiXhosa can be requested from legal@capfin.co.za, according to the same FAQ.

If you cannot pay, or want to settle

Monthly instalments are collected from the bank account used when the loan was approved, the FAQ says. Other payment routes it lists are a bank deposit using your Capfin account number or ID number, and in-store Pay@ at PEP or Ackermans.

For an alternative arrangement it lists the collections number 087 285 1234, the online profile, or *134*6454#. For a full settlement it lists 087 354 0000, the online profile, or the same USSD code, then payment by deposit, EFT or Pay@.

Non-payment, the FAQ says, will negatively affect your credit record.

Stay on official channels

Capfin’s terms identify it as NCRCP13053. Do not send an OTP, PIN or a copy of your ID to a number that contacted you first. Confirm WhatsApp 066 000 0683 and phone 087 354 0000 on the live Capfin contact page before you save them.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download a PDF statement from this article?

No. Use Capfin’s login, USSD or phone channels. This site cannot open your account.

What is the difference between my balance and a settlement quote?

Capfin’s FAQ says the quote can include unpaid interest, fees and credit life up to the settlement date, which may not yet sit on the displayed balance.

How do I log in?

Capfin says use your South African ID. It then sends an OTP to the registered cellphone number. It will not tell you an old PIN.

What if I have a new cellphone number?

The FAQ says call 087 354 0000 to update your details. The OTP only goes to the number already on the profile.
