In short: Sign in to My Unifi at za.unifi.credit and check your application progress. Unifi also emails confirmation when a loan is approved. With Superfast (automatic bank statements), Unifi says cash should reflect within the next few hours; if you uploaded or emailed documents manually, it can take up to 24 hours. Check status in three steps
- Open the official login: https://za.unifi.credit/login/ (address should start with
https://za.unifi.credit/) - Enter your South African ID number and complete Unifi’s sign-in prompts (OTP where asked)
- Read the application progress in My Unifi, and check the email address you used when you applied
Do not treat a WhatsApp DM, social message, or request for an upfront fee as approval. Unifi’s FAQ says it never charges upfront fees and asks you to report impostors on 021 110 0600.
Superfast vs manual documents
- Superfast (automatic bank-statement sharing): Unifi says your cash should be in the account in the next few hours
- Manual upload or email of proof of income: up to 24 hours
- Already applied with a manual upload? Sign in to My Unifi, open Upload, and switch to Superfast if you want the faster path
DebiCheck during the application
Unifi may ask for DebiCheck early so payout can happen sooner after approval. Their FAQ: if the loan is not approved, or you change your mind, the DebiCheck is cancelled. No loan means no debit check stays on.
Reading common outcomes
- Approved / confirmation email: review the amount, term, fees and total cost in your agreement before you accept
- Still pending: check My Unifi and look for an email or SMS asking for documents. After manual upload, wait up to 24 hours before chasing
- Declined: Unifi says decisions depend on affordability and credit checks. A public guide cannot tell you your personal reason. Contact Unifi on the numbers above. Do not pay anyone who claims they can reverse a decline
Who Unifi says it can help
From Unifi’s South Africa FAQ (confirm live before you apply): over 20, permanent South African citizen, formally employed on a monthly salary paid into an active account at ABSA, Standard Bank, FNB, Capitec, Nedbank, African Bank or TymeBank. They say they do not assist debt review or insolvent clients, and the product is not designed for weekly or fortnightly earners. Blacklisted applicants may still apply; approval is not guaranteed.
