- Standard Bank ATMs (for vouchers issued through channels other than a participating merchant)

Other Standard Bank help copy also mentions selected retailers such as Cambridge Food in places. Partner lists change — open Standard Bank’s live Instant Money pages before you travel. Do not assume Game, Makro or other stores work unless Standard Bank currently lists them on the product or help pages.
What you need to collect
- Voucher number (SMS to the recipient)
- 4-digit cash collection PIN from the sender
- Valid SA ID if the merchant asks
Share the PIN only with the real recipient. Standard Bank Instant Money product page: vouchers are valid for 3 years (bulk clients may set a shorter period). If the SMS never arrives, Standard Bank’s product FAQ points senders to the Instant Money contact centre 0860 466 639 (self-service or consultant) and notes that SPAR can re-send the last active voucher with proof of ID in the scenario Standard Bank describes.
How to redeem at a retailer
- Go to a participating store till / money desk.
- Say you are collecting Standard Bank Instant Money.
- Give the voucher number.
- Enter the 4-digit PIN on the point-of-sale device.
- Show ID if asked and collect the cash.
Ask the cashier which Money Market / Instant Money option they use if the till menu is crowded. Keep the slip until you have counted the cash.
How to redeem at a Standard Bank ATM
- At a Standard Bank ATM, choose the Instant Money / withdraw-money option.
- Enter the voucher number and 4-digit PIN.
- Collect the cash.
Important Instant Money term: money from vouchers issued by a participating merchant cannot be collected at a Standard Bank ATM — redeem those at a participating merchant. Vouchers issued through other Standard Bank channels may be collected at an ATM. If an ATM cannot dispense small notes, Standard Bank’s learn content suggests trying a participating retailer instead.
Limits and fees (confirm live)
Standard Bank Instant Money terms publish sender and receiver collect limits of up to R5 000 per day and R25 000 per month. Participating merchants may set lower till limits. Fees depend on send channel — Standard Bank’s product page shows retail fee bands (including PEP / SPAR examples) and bank-channel fee bands, and points to the current pricing guide.
